Nassau | The Bahamas News Agency reports another homicide in the country, with a 23-year-old man hospitalized following a shooting in the Baintown community.
Around 2 p.m., police received a call using ShotSpotter technology about gunshots heard on Hospital Lane near Meadow Street.
According to initial reports, the victim was patronizing a local restaurant when a gunman approached, pulled out a gun and shot him, striking him in the upper torso.
The victim then fled the area and was taken to hospital in a private vehicle. The victim later died at the hospital and is currently being investigated as a homicide. BP does not yet know the victim’s name or if he is known to police.
