*Why Haifa Wehbe was banned from singing and acting in Egypt
The Egyptian Musical Profession Syndicate has decided to place the artist Haifa Wehbe before the syndicate’s legal affairs next Sunday after the syndicate decided to prevent her from singing, following the footsteps of the Egyptian Acting Profession Syndicate, which decided to also ban her from acting.
“Artist Haifa Wehbe violated the terms of her artistic contract with a film production company despite receiving a contract deposit, and she did not implement the sanctions stipulated in the decision of the Investigative Committee of the Performing Professional Syndicate, which subsequently suspended her work and prevented her from obtaining a license again,” the union said in a statement.
According to local reports, the company that filed the complaint against Haifa Wehbe is the art production company “Al-Remas”, which says that the Lebanese artist did not return the advance payment she received from the company in exchange for her participation in a dramatic work that she had not committed to filming.
In addition, the artist also violated the agreement to hold a concert on the North Coast and collect the agreed amount, causing huge financial losses to the concert organizer.
Haifa Wehbe is starring in the film “Fortunate Son” written by Haitham Saeed with director Markus Adel, and sources in the film production revealed that they have completed the filming of the film and are currently in the final editing stages in preparation for the film’s release. It will be released soon, noting that the decision of the Acting Profession Syndicate to prevent the representation of artists does not include them.
It is worth noting that the last theatrical production in which Haifa Wehbe participated in Egypt was the film “Ramses Paris”, which was released last year, co-starring with Mohammed Salam, Mohammed Talwat and Mustafa Hatt.
