Tahiti, August 16, 2027 – The Association of Publishers of Tahiti and the Islands (AETI) has launched the campaign “Let’s change lives, one page at a time”, with the goal of providing 2,000 books to 2,000 Polynesian children across the five archipelagos to promote reading. A donation call has been launched on the Anavai Foundation platform to finance the project. “Your contribution, no matter how small or generous, will make a huge difference in their lives,” AETI Guarantee.
For the second year in a row, the Association of Publishers of Tahiti and the Islands (AETI) is committed to promoting reading through the project “Let’s change lives, one page at a time”. The goal of the initiative is to provide 2,000 books to 2,000 children in Polynesia to enrich the education of young people in Fenua, where access to books is often limited. In 2023, the association has already provided books to 1,000 children in 204 schools spread across the five archipelagos. This year, the stake has been doubled.

He has a team of merry elves who work year-round to write and tell beautiful and funny stories to preserve in books! ”
Call for donations
But in order to successfully pack enough books into the suitcases, Father Rede needs support. In fact, the project mobilizes many stakeholders, including the DGEE, which will play a crucial role in its realization. She will be in charge of drawing lots for the 2,000 beneficiary children and ensuring that the books are equitably distributed across the different archipelagos. In addition, the teachers will become an important relay in distributing the books to the students, thus guaranteeing that each book arrives safely and on time.
The support of the general public is also essential. In this sense, AETI is launching a major appeal for donations, which will be essential to the implementation of this project. “In Polynesia, many children do not have access to libraries.
