The minister performed Friday prayers at the Grand Mosque of Touba before being received by religious guides.
During the meeting, the minister briefed the caliph on various measures taken by the government within the framework of the Magal Organization. In particular, he mentioned the repair of roads in the holy city of Touba, the diversification of transportation methods (trains, Dakar Dem Dikk buses, etc.) to facilitate the movement of believers and ensure their safe travel, as well as the maintenance of transportation rates.
The minister also stressed the importance of exercising caution on the roads to avoid accidents, explaining that preventive and road safety measures have been put in place to that end.
He concluded his speech by asking the Caliph to pray for the safety of Magar, His Excellency the President of the Republic, Basilu Diomaye Faye, and his Government.
The Khalifa expressed satisfaction with the measures taken by the state and prayed for the government’s success.
Before leaving Touba, the minister visited Serigne Bass Abdou Khadre, spokesman for the caliphate, who also praised the government’s achievements and gave the minister a good testimony.
