Renowned journalist, Isaac Katende aka Kasuku, in a recent episode of his YouTube show “Kasuku Live”, reviewed the life of the late Joseph Tamale Mirundi and his regrets.

Mirundi, a well-known figure in the Ugandan press and former presidential press secretary, died on August 14, 2024 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Kisubi.
Kasuku, who worked closely with Mirundi for four years, shared that despite his illness, Mirundi was still depressed and unhappy in the last stage of his life.
Journalists described Mirundi as a man plagued by stress, depression and financial dissatisfaction.

According to reports, one of Mirundi’s biggest regrets was losing his position as the President’s Press Secretary. Kasuku noted that Mirundi believed he was framed by enemies within the presidency, which led to his dismissal.
Furthermore, when Milondi saw his opponent advancing while he was powerless to stop him, he felt a deep sense of inferiority and failure.
Mirundi also expressed concern that his enemies played a major role in his downfall.
These emotions had a lasting impact on his mental state during the final stages of his life.
Joseph Tamale Mirundi will be buried on Sunday, August 18, 2024, at his ancestral home in Kalisizo Kalagala village in Kyotera District.
His death marks the end of an important chapter in Ugandan journalism, with friends and colleagues remembering his contributions and the personal struggles he faced.
