According to ipn.md, gasoline prices have also been falling steadily recently, getting closer to the lowest level this year.
In the continuous price cuts over the past six weeks, the price of standard diesel has fallen by 1.64 lei/liter, or 7.5%, and the price of COR 95 gasoline has fallen by 1.20 lei/liter, or 4.5%. These price declines are due to the Platts quote level and the continuous strengthening of the national currency against the US dollar.
“At the same time, it is worth noting that this week both Brent oil stock market quotations and Platts oil product quotations have shown a clear upward trend, which may affect the current price development trend,” ANRE clarified.
The agency has determined the maximum retail prices for basic standard petroleum products for the next three days (August 17-19). Thus, a liter of gasoline with an octane rating of 95 will be sold at a maximum of 24.09 lei (-4 bans), and a liter of standard diesel will be sold at 20.33 lei (-2 bans).
