Iraq’s Foreign Ministry said in a statement on Thursday that Baghdad had postponed the date for announcing the end of the U.S.-led international coalition’s mission due to “recent developments,” but did not provide specific details.
There are 2,500 U.S. troops in Iraq, as well as factions linked to its security forces.
Since the Gaza war broke out in October, mutual attacks in the country have continued to escalate.
