On Swedish roads: eye-catching design and powerful performance

It’s powerful and elegant. It combines inspiring design with a revolutionary driving experience. It gives you freedom and it’s emission-free. And now it’s available in Sweden – the new electric Cupra Tavascan.
The number of new electric vehicle models in the world has been increasing in recent years, and most automakers today are talking about range, battery size, and Vision Zero.
Cupra is one of the youngest brands in the Volkswagen Group, but it also places a strong emphasis on performance and design.
The new Tavascan is the brand’s first electric SUV and its second electric car after the Cupra Born.

“For car lovers”
– The Tavascan has everything the Swedish market needs; a fully electric powertrain, four-wheel drive and a generous cabin and boot space. In addition, the Tavascan’s design has left many people speechless, says Helena Sjöberg Tufvesson, Cupra’s Swedish Marketing Manager.
– The Tavascan is the car for a new generation of car enthusiasts.
All car enthusiasts can rest easy – because the new electric car is now available in Sweden. The Tavascan is based on Volkswagen’s MEB platform, just like several other popular electric car models such as the Volkswagen ID.4 and Audi Q4 e-tron.
– We position ourselves in the market segment between volume and premium, we are an exciting alternative to traditional premium car brands. With our unique brand image and strong product range, we are a strong addition to the Volkswagen Group, said Helena.
Powerful and secure
The CUPRA Tavascan combines sporty design with powerful performance and high safety. The electric car is available in two powertrain versions: the rear-wheel drive with 286 hp and the four-wheel drive VZ version with 340 hp.
Regardless of the version, the Tavascan offers a driving experience with optional Adaptive Chassis Control, Sport DCC and Progressive Steering.
In terms of cruising range, the rear-wheel drive version has a range of up to 565 kilometers, and the four-wheel drive version has a range of up to 518 kilometers (according to WLTP).
Travel 10 miles in seven minutes
The battery capacity is 77 kWh and the charging capacity is 11 kW AC charging. Of course, the Tavascan can also be charged quickly.
– Tavascan offers fast charging, which allows it to charge from 0 to 100 km in just 7 minutes. Helena Sjöberg Tufvesson says this fast charging capability means drivers can quickly and easily “fill up the tank” when they are on the road.
Standard equipment
The car is well-equipped as standard and easy to configure, with a 0-100 km/h acceleration time of 5.5 seconds, a tow bar and roof rack as options, a 540-litre boot capacity and a foldable and split rear seat.
The interior, made partly from recycled materials, exudes luxury and responsibility.

On the safety front, there are a number of advanced driver assistance systems, including the new Connected Travel Assist and Head-Up Display, which improve concentration and provide a more enjoyable driving experience. The Tavascan also comes standard with a 15-inch infotainment display, a new HMI, display and operating concept, wireless Full-Link, and an advanced sound system with 12 Sennheiser speakers.
