Drivers travelling on the A10 ring road around Amsterdam and the A2 near Utrecht will face traffic delays in the coming weeks as the Ministry of Infrastructure’s roads department begins work on both motorways.
The A10 motorway between Amsterdam Oost Station and Durgerdam and Watergraafsmeer was closed to traffic on Tuesday evening, with construction work expected to last until September 9. As part of the work, the A8 turnoff to the A10 motorway will also be closed.
Works on the A2 motorway in the direction of Den Bosch from Utrecht will start at 9 p.m. on Thursday. The agency said the section of the motorway between Odenrhein and Everdingen will be closed from Thursday evening to Monday morning for the next five weeks, with fewer available lanes. explain.
The work, which includes laying new tarmac, will continue until September 23. The authority said traffic would be diverted via the A12 and A27, but delays of up to an hour were unavoidable.
