After passing Tropical Storm ErnestoMany institutions have resumed work, including Puerto Rico Judiciary Court Administration.
The Chief Administrative Officer of the Court, Sigfrido Steidl FigueroaIt said that all branches of the judiciary will resume normal operations from Friday, August 16.
“All employees must report to work tomorrow. If you have special circumstances that prevent you from coming to work, you must inform your direct supervisor so that arrangements can be made.”
Furthermore, they assured that the judiciary will continue to monitor their institutions and will deal with any situation related to damage caused by atmospheric events on a case-by-case basis.

Yesterday, Puerto Rico Governor Pedro Pierluis announced that public employees must report to work on Friday and start classes on Monday.
“As far as the education system is concerned, the decision we have taken is that teaching and non-teaching staff are expected to arrive on Friday and schools are expected to reopen next Monday,” Pierluisi Urrutia said at a news conference.
“The essential personnel, the response personnel, must go to their respective government workplaces (tomorrow). Similarly, personnel dedicated to the protection of facilities must go to work tomorrow and agency officials must also provide services tomorrow. This will be coordinated by all agency heads. This is a decision of the government concerned. We hope that the rest of the public servants will be able to work on Friday,” he added.
