PRODUCE launches AI tool to improve winemakers’ productivity

The Ministry of Production, through the National Your Company Program, promotes the digital tool “MYPE Asesor IA” (MAIA), developed by the non-profit association HACERPERÚ, which will allow winemakers to manage their business digitally, with the aim of increasing winemakers’ business efficiency, productivity and market competitiveness.

The initiative comes within the framework of the Institutional Winery Day, celebrated every year on August 12th.

“This free MAIA tool is intended to guide winemakers so that they understand the requirements required by municipalities and other institutions to formalize their business. To this end, we will provide advice to all wineries in our country 24 hours a day. It is an application based on artificial intelligence and we offer it to all winemakers in Peru,” said the Minister of Production, Sergio González.

On the other hand, Minister González said that there is no doubt that this economic movement formed by our country’s wineries generates daily economic vitality.

In particular, the MAIA tool will make it easier for winemakers to perfect various aspects of their winery management, such as tracking their daily sales or product inventory.

Likewise, the MAIA tool will provide business management advice, enabling winemakers to optimize their profits and provide ongoing advice on their business at no charge.

Winemakers who receive the services of the National Your Company Program will also receive free tools that integrate the use of artificial intelligence. During the remainder of 2024, the National Your Company Program will continue to provide formalization services, as well as advice and training in the five components of formalization, digitalization, business management, production development and financing, which is expected to benefit 1,200 wineries.

The event was attended by Alfonso Bustamante, President of CONFIEP, Andrés Choy, President of the Peruvian Winemakers Association, Alejandro Daly, Manager of the National Industrial Association Guild Committee and Director of the Peruvian Winemakers Association Board, Katia Peñaloza of INDECOPI National Consumer Protection Agency and other institutions.

“Within the ‘Your Company’ initiative, we have a project to formalize more than 60,000 business units, an idea that also includes wineries that sell essential products to the population,” he commented.

Likewise, the four Mypes participating in “ExpoBodega 2024” are part of four priority series: Mujer Produce, Mype Digital, Mype Sostenible and Mype Global, which aim to increase the productivity and competitiveness of their enterprises.
