Labasa head coach Ravnil Pratap said the team is trying to boost their spirits ahead of the 14th round DFPL match against T/Naitasiri in the hope of maintaining their winning streak at home.
Working with Fiji LivePratap admitted that the team’s morale had taken a hit after losing 4-2 to Lautoka in round 13 last week.
“Morale was down after the game against Lautoka so it is important for the players to be focused and ready, especially when playing at home. We have not lost any DFPL games at Subrail Park this season and we hope to maintain that form,” said Pratap.
The coach stressed that Labasa’s main focus will be to strengthen their defence, a weakness that was revealed during the Battle of the Giants tournament.
He added: “The boys were hungry to score but they forgot to defend their own goal and that’s where they got punished.”
