New Delhi: Rajinikanth wrote a special post on the 75th Independence Day and posted a video on his social media accounts to express condolences to his fans.
The ‘Lingaa’ actor took to his Twitter on Saturday to leave a message for his fans.
Sharing the post, he wrote: “#HarGharTiranga #IamAProudIndian.” The 71-year-old actor tweeted: “This is the 75th anniversary of India’s Independence…our Motherland. As a mark of respect, as an expression of our unity…to all the lakhs of people who have endured countless struggles and sufferings…pain and humiliation…to all the thousands who have selflessly sacrificed their lives for freedom…to all the freedom fighters, martyrs and leaders….”
Moreover, he wrote, “Let us salute them with gratitude… transcending caste, religion and politics… let us pass on the Indian flag to our next generation of children and youngsters to proudly display it outside our homes, offices and workplaces. Let us celebrate the 75th Independence Day of the great India with pride… let our flag fly everywhere in salute to them. Long live India.”
The ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign started on Saturday and will continue till August 15. ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ is an initiative launched under the auspices of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav to encourage people to bring Tiranga home and hoist it on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of India’s independence.
The initiative aims to inspire Indian people around the world to fly the national flag in their homes. The aim of the initiative is to make the relationship between the national flag and people more personal rather than just formal or institutional.
Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav is an event organized by the Government of India to celebrate and commemorate the 75th anniversary of India’s independence and the glorious history of its people, culture and achievements.
The monument is dedicated to the people of India who have not only played a significant role in the country’s development story but also possess the power and potential to realise Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of launching India 2.0, fuelled by the spirit of ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’.
The official journey of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsev began on March 12, 2021, kicking off the 75-week countdown to our 75th Independence Day.
Last month, Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign, encouraging people to bring the Tiranga home and hoist it on the occasion of India’s 75th Independence Day. The Culture Ministry said the initiative is aimed at stimulating a feeling of patriotism in people’s hearts and celebrating Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.
He also called on the people of India to hoist the tricolor flag at home between August 13 and 15 to celebrate the 75th Independence Day.
Earlier, Indian citizens were not allowed to hoist the national flag except on certain occasions. This changed after a decade-long legal battle by industrialist Naveen Jindal, which culminated in a landmark Supreme Court judgment on January 23, 2004, declaring the right to hoist the national flag freely and with dignity a fundamental right of Indian citizens under Article 19(1)(a) of the Indian Constitution.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Rajinikanth has teamed up with filmmaker Nelson Dilip Kumar for a new film titled Jailer. The project will also feature Kannada actor Shivraj Kumar in a pivotal role.
A few months ago, the film’s producer Sun Pictures released the poster of the same name for “The Jailer”, which features a blood-stained sickle. The release of the film made movie fans excited, and it seems that “The Jailer” will be an action thriller.
Rajinikanth was last seen in Siva-directed Annaatthe, which released on Diwali 2021 and received mixed reviews.
