Kazakhstan returns more than 1 trillion tenge in assets

Daniyar Bigaidarov, official representative of the Anti-Corruption Bureau of the Republic of Kazakhstan:
— Since the beginning of the year, the Anti-Corruption Bureau has paid about 195 billion tenge in the framework of closed criminal cases. In the past 2.5 years, including oligopolies, 1.09 trillion tenge was returned.
Among the properties listed by Anticor are the Kaisar Tower business center in Almaty, valued at more than 7.09 billion tenge, and three luxury homes in the capital, valued at more than 5 billion tenge. “These properties have been transferred to state property,” said a representative of the agency.
Foreign countries: Austria, France, the United Arab Emirates, Turkey and Russia, as well as assets in the form of real estate, currency, securities and jewelry were returned to Kazakhstan. The Shevchenkovskoe field, a large nickel-cobalt deposit in the Kostanay region worth more than 5.6 trillion tenge, was one of the assets transferred to the state.
