New York. Independent presidential candidate Robert Kennedy Jr. Will not be able to participate in the presidential election in the state on November 5 New York Once a judicial ruling is made, other countries may follow suit.
A group of citizens, with the support of a government-linked political action committee Democratic Partycondemning the We the People candidate for providing a “false” residential address in New York State.
Kennedy, 70, is a prominent environmental lawyer who has spent most of his life in New York but has generally lived in California for the past decade with his actress wife Cheryl Hines.
After hearing the statements from both parties, the judge Christina Fish A ruling issued Monday night determined the state’s candidacy petition was “invalid” and directed the New York State Board of Elections not to register or print the candidate’s name on the ballot for the November presidential election.
“The address listed in the nomination petition is not a residence where Mr Kennedy resides under the Election Act,” Judge Riba said in his ruling.
He further added: “Mr. Kennedy’s connection to the address provided exists only on paper and for the sole purpose of maintaining his voting and political record in the State of New York.”
Kennedy owned a variety of exotic pets, including 20 falcons, an emu, turtles and three dogs. They were never moved from their California residence to New York.
In this sense, Judge Riba expressed the following opinion: “The fact that his pets were never moved from California to New York suggests that Mr. Kennedy never intended to move to this state.”

Kennedy’s attorney, William Savino, announced to the agency that they would appeal the decision. Similarly, other attorneys filed a complaint in Manhattan federal court, alleging that the decision was “unconstitutional.”
A feature of the U.S. Constitution is that presidential and vice presidential candidates from the same state cannot receive electoral votes from that state.
In Kennedy’s case, his running mate, Nicole Shanahan, reported her address as being in California.
California, with 54 electoral votes, is an important trophy for any presidential candidate.
Judge Riba’s decision could open the door for other states to make similar decisions, as candidates used the same address in New York to collect signatures and register their candidacies.
The scion of the Kennedy dynasty appeared on the ballot in 19 states, including decisive states such as Michigan and North Carolina that could affect the victory of one of the candidates. Similarly, his campaign team has requested third-party status in 20 other states, including New York, according to media reports.

For several months, when Kennedy was a Democratic president, he averaged 10% in the polls. Joe Biden Still a candidate for reelection with the Republican Party Donald Trump.
But after Biden gave up and endorsed Vice President Kamala Harrishis approval rating has been halved and now stands at around 5%.
With predictions for the November election so tight, Democrats are working to discourage independent candidates who could steal votes from the race.
This case is an attack on New York voters who signed in record numbers to put me on the ballot. The DNC has become a party that uses legal battles to replace the democratic electoral process. We will appeal and we will win. 🇺🇸 https://t.co/D8rfIlogIai
