Former Presidential Press Secretary and renowned political analyst, Joseph Tamale Mirundi, died early this morning.
Mirundi, known for his outspoken nature and media presence, made a striking statement about his final arrangements, reflecting his unique perspective on life and death.
In a notable interview on the Kasuku Live YouTube channel, the late Tamale outlined his wishes for posthumous rites.
He requested that his body be moved to his marital residence and ancestral home at Zzana, Kyengera and Kabalagala for mourning.
In each place he expected a two-day vigil and a barbecue feast.
Tamale also expressed his wish that his body be publicly displayed at the ancestral home as a final farewell.
Breaking with tradition, he preferred to be buried standing up rather than lying down, and he asked that the villagers be offered beer to enhance the celebration of his life.
