Former Parliamentary Minister, Mr. Jamal Rajapaksa, has said that Mahinda Rajapaksa has asked his son, Namel Rajapaksa, to vote for him in the upcoming presidential election as a courtesy to the former president.
He said Mr. Mahinda Rajapaksa was the leader who saved the country from LTTE terrorism and he did a lot of development work for the country.
The MP also said that as a courtesy to them, they will demand that Mr. Namal Rajapaksa be named president in the upcoming presidential election.
He expressed these views during a discussion with a group of former local government representatives of Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna in Hambantota district.
