Kazakhs launch petition to ban online lending

In recent years, the demand for loans via the Internet has increased. However, many people initially do not understand the consequences of high-interest, unconditional online loans. As a result, the number of people who end their credit by applying for new loans has increased. There are many scammers who apply for online loans for others. Now one of them is in debt, but he hides it from his relatives. The author of the petition says that in order to prevent this from happening, online loans should be banned completely. So far, few people have signed the initiative. However, if 50,000 signatures are collected, the government will be obliged to consider the petition. The document will be published for public discussion before September 6.

— Many people suffer because of online loans. The reason is financial illiteracy. We are not against digitalization and financial services. However, we also want financial security.
