As deadline looms, an incomprehensible referendum emerges

The manipulation of judicial elections, in which no one believes in their predecessors, combined with the absurdity generated by the crisis and the discrediting of the judiciary, brings us closer and closer to a system of anomie caused by a lack of dollars and fuel, and to an almost absurd confrontation between mastas, without them realizing it.

This situation forces us to increase our ingenuity and creativity to come up with proposals that do not involve shortening terms or military coups, that are not exhausted by the farce of General Zuniga and that are never an alternative for democratic citizens.

The crisis of the political system is likely to intensify as the number of unresolved events within the deadline continues to grow, and, further conflicting the situation, the government diverts attention by proposing a referendum that raises three unnecessary questions, the answers to which are absolutely predictable.

As None of these three issues are the subject of a constitutional referendum, which is nonsense Some argue that the confrontation between Bolivians and the new distribution of representation, which would increase the benefits to some sectors from population growth, can be avoided.

If the government’s will is sincere, why not call for a debate on all the issues that need to be resolved, without waiting indefinitely and without spending any additional resources? According to the request of the participants, in a reasonable time, tables will be organized for each topic and debates will be announced by time and topic. We must remember that the essence of a referendum is a decision (not a solution) to simplify a situation with relevant and structural conditions for citizens. When consultations are temporary, they radicalize the confrontation, and I repeat that all proposals are not the subject of constitutional consultation.

Recognizing the lack of value in adjusting the number of representatives provided for by the Constitution, and since no one wants to reduce the number of representatives of their sector, the Solomon Solution proposes to increase the number of representatives of the winning sector without reducing what anyone has. Regarding fuel prices and subsidies, the government said that it “plans to reduce subsidies and increase the supply of premium gasoline”, and it is up to the decision to clarify the future direction. 4. Do you agree that Bolivia’s presidential elections are limited to one constitutional term and no re-election (like Mexico) or a maximum of two consecutive constitutional terms and no re-election (like the United States)?

We agree that the government is trying to divert media attention. For a few days, he has achieved this goal, because the problems continue, and now a new problem is related to holding a so-called referendum, which will only delay the solution.

Meanwhile, decent citizens continue to go to work every day and live a dignified life.
