Senegalese Prime Minister Ousmane Sonko paid a friendly working visit to Mali, marking an important step in the relations between the two countries.
Upon his arrival at the Presidential Modibo Keita Senou International Airport, Ousmane Sonko was warmly welcomed by the President of Mali, Jorgel Kokara Maiga. During his visit, the Senegalese Prime Minister will meet with the Malian Head of State, Colonel Assimi Goita. These discussions will focus on themes of mutual interest and are aimed at strengthening political, economic and security cooperation between Senegal and Mali.
The visit comes against the backdrop of major security challenges in the region, particularly related to counter-terrorism and political instability in West Africa. Ousmane Sonko’s visit to Mali paves the way for strengthening bilateral relations.
