Evo presents nine proposals to the National Economic Dialogue

Former President Evo Morales on Tuesday stressed the call for the so-called “National Economic and Production Dialogueheld by the government of Luis Arce, and announced that he would submit a proposal to that conference.

“We welcome the call for a national economic conference. We will send our donations “We will use our experience in commanding the country to contribute to rebuilding the economy of the country and Bolivian families,” Morales reported through his account on X.

Morales proposed a law on public-private partnerships; strengthening legal protections for producers and investors; tax reforms that would allow incentives for domestic and foreign investment; Zero VAT on food nationwide A 50% reduction in VAT on imported agricultural and industrial inputs.

Likewise, it proposed the creation of a new productive credit fund with an interest rate of 6%; Accelerated Approval of Biotechnology Events Fight drought and increase production capacity; release exports of high-demand products in international trade to attract US dollars; and increase ethanol blends to reduce gasoline import pressure.

“We have a structural problem;However, we believe that these measures (that we propose) will help reactivate investments, provide dollar liquidity and resolve the fuel supply crisis,” Morales said.

The Government invited the Bolivian Confederation of Private Entrepreneurs (CEPB) and its affiliated institutions to participate in the economic dialogue announced by President Luis Arce in his speech on August 6.

The meeting will be held on Wednesday, August 14 at 4:00 PM on the 21st floor of Casa Grande del Pueblo.
