YouTube Music is starting to roll out a new option that allows users of its service to share personal radio stations on their channels with other accounts, with the goal of making the music collected in these “playlists” available to more people.

The streaming music platform allows you to create radio stations using the “Radio Stations” option, which was launched early last year for iOS and Android devices, allowing users to manually select up to 30 artists and bands to listen to music.

In this area, the company is working on new options to improve the user experience when using this feature, such as recently starting to test the creation of personalized radio stations based on text descriptions. This means that the feature is powered by artificial intelligence (AI).

Now, YouTube Music has begun rolling out a new feature that allows users to share their personal radio stations on their profile or channel so that others can listen to a mix of their favorite and most listened to music.

Thus, a personal radio section will appear in the user’s profile, through which the relevant station can be accessed. Likewise, the radio can be shared in a link format so that other users can access it directly from other platforms or websites.

As shared in a post on Reddit by user Rolan Albarico, who gained access to the feature and reported by 9to5Google, YouTube Music describes the new option as stations “made for sharing” that are based on music the user has listened to recently and are always up to date.

To access personal radio, users must enter their profile through the settings menu and select the “Privacy and Location” option. Subsequently, the public personal radio station will be available. Currently, this personal radio feature is not yet available globally and is limited to some users.
