Coca-Cola Beverages Uganda (CCBU) will fully partner with the Tusker Lite Rwenzori Mountain Marathon, once again becoming the official hydration partner for the upcoming third edition of the event.

The marathon, known for its scenic route and cultural heritage, will be held on August 24 in Kasese district and participants will run distances of 42km, 21km, 10km and 5km.

CCBU, a subsidiary of Coca-Cola Beverages Africa (CCBA), will provide Rwenzori Pure Natural Mineral Water to keep participants hydrated throughout the marathon. This is the third consecutive year the company has partnered with the marathon.

Kirunda Magoola, CCBU Director of Public Affairs, Communications and Sustainability, said: “We are delighted to once again be part of this exciting event showcasing the beauty of the Rwenzori region.”

CCBU will donate over UGX 173 million for the marathon.

Tusker Lite Rwenzori Mountain Marathon Team Leader Amos Wekesa commended CCBU for its continued support, noting that the company’s commitment to water supply was crucial to the success of the event.
