Customs officers forced the citizen to drink the liquid from his hand. He died after drinking it.

According to the newspaper “Hraparak”, a tragic incident occurred at the “Zvartnots” airport a few days ago. SRC customs staff noticed a bottle in the hand of a passenger arriving in Armenia from Brazil and asked what was in it. The Brazilian replied: wine. The customs officer did not check the contents of the bottle, but forced the Brazilian to drink the bottle, after which his health deteriorated and he died a few minutes later.
Drugs were found in the bottle. The RA Ministry of Internal Affairs reported that on August 8, the route department of the “Zvartnots” airport received an alert, and the emergency team took a foreigner from the airport to the medical center, where he died.

These materials were handed over to the preliminary investigation body. The Investigative Committee confirmed the information that the deceased was a Brazilian citizen and initiated criminal proceedings under Part I of the murder provisions of the RA Criminal Code in relation to this incident. ”
