Norwegian filmmaker Jannicke Mikkelsen will travel to space in late 2024.
Space travel company SpaceX wrote in a press release that four people will take part in a space trip by the end of this year.
According to SpaceX, this is the first human space trip over the Earth’s polar regions. The mission is commercial and the astronauts on board will conduct research at an altitude of 500 kilometers above the Earth’s atmosphere. The trip will last three to five days.
The mission is called “Fram2,” named after a polar ship used by Norwegian explorers in the Arctic and Antarctica, SpaceX wrote. The space company is owned by businessman Elon Musk, who also owns X and leads Tesla.
