In solidarity with the Senegalese media, which, despite the chaos, is one of the best in the world, I would like to call on our authorities to sign a new social contract with the media in our country.

We must know that this declared era of Jubjubar and Jubandi requires civic commitment from all of us. I would say that we should even extend my proposal for a new social contract between the state and the press to all sectors of society, including political parties.

We ultimately need a new patriotic social contract to realize the Senegal of our dreams and the legitimate hope of a citizenry fully committed to its revival!

The success of this administration will be a success for all of us, and it will have a huge impact on this great country for centuries to come. If this administration fails – and I can’t imagine it – it will be a disaster of immeasurable magnitude!

Long live Senegal!
Long live the Republic!

Alhaji Gorji Wade N’Doye,
Senegalese citizen
