Damascus – Ceriastipes:
Economic expert Dr. Amar Yusuf said that we should not flog the current government, this must become a thing of the past. Let us look ahead to the next government and what we expect from it. The ministers who make the decisions in the government have the experience and courage to deal wisely with the difficult economic and service realities, and we hope that the government will not look for problems with state support for citizens and cancel them. That it will not put pressure on industrialists and businessmen with taxes and harassment, causing them to close and leave.
Emphasizing that if the future government follows the path of the current government, I believe the disaster caused by the current government will be repeated and our dire situation will continue to worsen.
Looking back at the governments since the beginning of the war, and especially the last four years, we see that they are truly unproductive governments, and there is no clearer example of the collapse of the citizens’ ability to live and the collapse of the Syrian pound, until most people have reached below the poverty line, and citizens cannot obtain a comprehensive food supply that meets their needs. Basically, it is enough to say that employees’ salaries are barely worth $20, and at best $30, which shows that the standard of living is deteriorating.
Yusuf in his speech argued that the state is the guardian of the citizen, it supports him, ensures that he lives a decent life and provides him with basic services and goods easily, but unfortunately, the wartime government hit this support system. Whenever there is a need, they put their hands into the pockets of citizens and focus on collecting rather than producing and working.
So today we are looking forward to a government that is completely different from the current one, although my fear is that the current government will be rotated, and the tired policies towards the economy and citizens will continue, pushing them further into hunger and poverty, and then there will be disaster..
In an interview with Syriasteps, he pointed out: From the COVID-19 pandemic to today, we have witnessed an unprecedented failure of economic policies, which has plunged citizens into poverty, reduced production, complicated energy problems, and basic services are substandard and sometimes unavailable.
He described the government’s efforts to sell its achievements in the last five seconds as a process of honing the people of government rather than the government. It is unfortunate that some ministers feel they should remain in their posts, when what is needed is a radical transformation of the economy and the service workforce.
Emphasizing that citizens are waiting for a government that will satisfy their minimum “eating and drinking” and not continue to starve, it means that citizens hope that the next government will improve the management of the economy and service archives. .
We do dream and look forward to the coming of a government that improves the support of the citizen, raises his standard of living, and empowers him… rather than looking for residual support to eliminate it. A government that does not put pressure on industrialists and businessmen through taxation and harassment, a government that adopts monetary and financial economic policies whose results are accurately and scientifically calculated, rather than based on “glory to God.”
Yusuf ended his speech with a profound statement: “The previous government did everything we don’t want the new government to do.”
