Kalifah AgaNaga has publicly defended Uganda National Musicians’ Federation (UNMF) president Eddy Kenzo against allegations of handling government funds.

AgaNaga stressed that Kenzo has made great efforts to support and inspire fellow musicians, claiming that the financial assistance artists have received is largely due to Kenzo’s influence and leadership.

AgaNaga called on the public and the music industry to recognise and appreciate Kenzo’s contributions, especially his role in promoting lesser-known artistes and adding value to the Ugandan music scene.

He stressed that Kenzo founded UNMF a year ago but faced criticism from all sides, with critics accusing him of withholding money that was supposed to go to other musicians.

Despite these accusations, AgaNaga believes that negative perceptions of Kenzo stem from jealousy and a desire to undermine its achievements.

People should focus on the positive impact Kenzo has had on the music industry. He has done a lot of good for artists and the accusation of stealing money is baseless. Instead of criticizing him, we should appreciate the value he brings to the music industry.
