Libreville, Saturday, August 10, 2024 (Infos Gabon) – The main topic of the meeting between the heads of state and members of the movement, held at the presidential palace in Libreville on August 8, was the presentation of possible solutions to reduce unemployment among young people. Their secretary general is Yannick Nguema Elkang.
The transitional president spoke on Thursday with a delegation from Gabon’s National Movement of the Unemployed and its affiliates about the employability of young people and the mechanisms created for the benefit of these fellow citizens.
In their presentation, Yannick Nguema Elkang and his family expressed their desire to contribute to the transition process and participate in the management of citizenship issues. It is in this spirit that they raised awareness among the authorities and proposed possible solutions to reduce youth unemployment.
According to them, this involves building about 50 grocery stores across the territory, creating a company engaged in the green space maintenance business and recruiting 1,500 members from the movement.
Surrounded by members of the Government and the institutional Transition and Recovery Commission (CTRI), the Head of State was very receptive to their suggestions, adhered to them. General Blaise Clotaire Origi Nguema in turn spoke of his vision of a clean city and, logically, decided to buy the equipment necessary to maintain the city, supporting the companies created to maintain green areas.
The government must also study its recruitment request files within the Ministries of Health and Education on behalf of the State, in accordance with its instructions.
The head of state immediately signed a check for 50 million CFA francs to support the movement, which would go towards the creation of an enterprise with nearly 300 members.
During the May 1st Labor Day commemorations, General Blaise Clotaire Origi Nguema pledged to respond positively to the movement’s audience demands.
