Temperatures will reach 30°C in most parts of the Netherlands on Monday, with highs of 34°C possible in the south, forecasters said on Sunday afternoon.
this KNMI Meteorological Bureau The Netherlands has issued a yellow weather warning for Zeeland, North Brabant and Limburg provinces from 1 p.m. on Monday, saying high temperatures and humidity may cause discomfort to some people.
Monday night will also be warm with temperatures unlikely to drop below 20°, and Tuesday will also feel very warm with higher humidity. Thunderstorms are very likely Tuesday night.
The hot and humid weather is caused by southerly winds that are blowing warm air northwards from the Mediterranean region, with temperatures reaching 40° in some areas.
Temperatures will drop on Wednesday but are likely to remain quite warm inland and thunderstorms are still possible in many places.
The rest of the week will see a return to “normal” summer weather in the Netherlands, with sunny, cloudy and light rain.
