Libreville, Sunday, August 11, 2024 (Infos Gabon) – This was the meaning of the last outing in Libreville by members of the association, whose main objective was to support the actions taken by General Blaise Clotaire Origi Nguema and the Commission for Institutional Transition and Recovery (CTRI).
The transitional president enjoys support, as evidenced by the recent creation of collectives and associations, including the Oligui Doit Rester (ODR) association, which brings together people from all walks of life in Gabon.
At a meeting held on August 3, the association’s members explained the merits of their choice to support the initiatives taken by the new authorities during and after the transition, with a focus on social issues.
“Our area of intervention remains the social sphere. As we all know, there is no social policy without real development. That is why our association is firmly committed to the development of our country,” explains Olivié Envo Ebang, president of the association.
For him, what Gabon needs is to ensure sustainable and equitable development for all. This is the desire shown by the transitional authorities, who have chosen to build only on the positive aspects of the previous administration and make improvements to build a better Gabon.
“We are confident that our political and military authorities share the same vision and that they are working tirelessly towards this common goal. We support their desire to implement sound economic policies that encourage investment and promote growth,” he added.
He said these measures will improve the living conditions of our compatriots. They realize that development is everyone’s business and call on all Gabonese people to participate and help society develop.
Olivié Envo Ebang and his people, after listing a series of achievements of the CTRI since August 30, 2023, especially in the areas of infrastructure, education, health, employment, institutions, regularization of the administrative situation, are logical in their approach, calling for support for the country to organize the next referendum.
“With great humility we invite all the Gabonese people to choose ‘yes’ in the next referendum so that, with the advent of a new constitution, we can build together the new Gabon that our ancestors dreamed of,” they said.
