From SpringvilleAn Alabama resident has spoken of how lucky he is to be alive after a horrific accident in Lake Champlain.
Logan ran into some trouble while competing in the Ark International Fishing Tournament on day two of the Champlain Classic.
He reportedly hit an underwater obstacle, causing the motor to detach from the boat and spin, which caused him to hit his head and nearly be thrown overboard.
His wife, Riley Logan, broke the shocking news on social media after the initial collision.

According to her, Weiss had been in a serious boating accident and suffered a head injury and cuts to his body. She added that Weiss was initially stuck in the water for more than an hour before being taken by ambulance to a local hospital.
In an updated post, Riley shared more details about the accident.
“Wes was driving on the lake when he hit a big wave (maybe there was something invisible in the water). The impact was so strong that his motor came off the boat, causing it to skid. While doing a 360-degree turn, he hit his head and was nearly thrown out of the boat. Luckily, he was conscious and called me for help,” she wrote.
Most amazingly, after receiving the medical help he needed (including 14 stitches), Wes’ injury was healed enough to return to competition.
After the accident, he stressed how lucky he was to be alive and expressed how blessed he felt.
Wes urges everyone to enjoy every moment of sobriety because it could be your last.
