Customs and state security personnel at the Bab Ceuta border crossing on Friday foiled an operation to smuggle 22 kilograms of the drug Shera.
A customs source said that customs and state security personnel in the departure area of the Bab Ceuta border crossing seized such a quantity of drugs in a car with a number of Morocco, which was heading to the Ceuta border crossing.
The same source explained that Customs and State Security agents, after a careful inspection of the vehicle, discovered a large amount of drugs prepared in the form of tablets stuffed in the double bottom where the spare tire was located.
The customs office said the driver of the car, a Moroccan living abroad with a French passport, had been arrested and handed over to the judicial police department of the Tetouan security jurisdiction. At the same time, customs seized the drugs and the car for research purposes under the supervision of the competent public prosecution office.
