Libreville, Sunday, August 11, 2024 (Gabon News) – The Gabonese Head of State will attend the inauguration of President Paul Kagame on August 11, 2024.
More than twenty (20) African Heads of State responded to the invitation of the Government of Rwanda to attend the inauguration of the President of the Republic. Among them, General Brice Clotaire Origi Nguema has been in Kigali since Saturday.
Paul Kagame will be inaugurated for a fourth term this Sunday after an impressive re-election. The ceremony took place in the Rwandan capital.
He served as Vice President and Minister of Defense from 1994 to 2000. After Pasteur Bizimungu resigned in 2000, he was elected President of the Republic of Rwanda and was re-elected in 2003, 2010 and 2017. His last re-election date was August 4, 2024, when he was elected with 99.18% of the votes for a five-year term.
Paul Kagame is considered a pioneer in economic growth and stability and reducing corruption in Rwanda after the Rwandan genocide.
