Rwanda Police Spokesperson ACP Boniface Rutikanga has prepared Rwandans for the closure of a road in the city of Kigali to facilitate the movement of guests attending the swearing-in ceremony of the President of the Republic.

“We assure Rwandans that everything is fully prepared and everyone invited to the Amahoro Stadium will get there without any problems,” he said.

ACP Rutikanga assured Rwandans of security. He announced that the road from Kanombe-Giporoso-Gisimenti-Guarando-Kigali Convention Centre (KCC) Gishushu all the way to Kigali Camp has been used by the authorities.

Motorists will use the remaining roads and will have police to direct them to other roads they must cross.

The City of Kigali has also announced traffic restrictions for this Sunday, asking road users in the City of Kigali to tolerate temporary closures as tourists pass through.
