The official reaction of the government comes two weeks after the decision of Ali Darassa, Chief of Staff of the Coalition of Patriots for Change (CPC), to cease all hostilities. In a press release signed by Jean Velibiro Sacco, Minister of State for Disarmament, Demobilization, Reintegration and Monitoring of the Afghan People’s Army, the government said it had taken note of the situation, while urging the latter to designate its representatives and communicate the list of its combatants in order to proceed with their disarmament.
