Stabbing incident in Skien center, one person seriously injured – NRK Norway – Overview of news from different parts of the country

Police were called to Sheehan town centre at 9:12pm on Saturday to reports of a stabbing.

A young man in his early 20s was taken to hospital by ambulance.

– He is currently at Skien Hospital but will soon be taken to Ullevål Hospital by air ambulance, operations manager Øystein Eikedalen told NRK.

Police said the man was conscious but in serious condition.

Police have not made any arrests but are working to preserve the crime scene and interview witnesses, they said.

– We interviewed many witnesses after the incident. We also had some people interview them at the Glenland Police Station.

“We haven’t made any arrests yet, but we can’t rule it out,” Ekdalen said.

Witnesses to NRK said several people were involved in the incident.

Police said they would be at the scene throughout the night.
