Mayor of Canovanas, Lorna Soto Villanuevalaunched its executive committee this Saturday Emergency Operations Center City Government (COE) Response Announcement Emergency Management and Disaster Management Bureau (NMEAD) about atmospheric systems that could impact the region next week.

“Taking into account the possibility that this atmospheric system could strengthen and affect our area from Tuesday to Wednesday, I decided to activate the COE Executive Committee to double-check and ensure that all municipal agencies are coordinated and ready to respond to any eventuality. In particular, we provide support to bedridden residents and senior citizens with limited mobility, among others,” said Mayor Sotto Villanueva during a tour of the community.

“We have issued clear instructions to all municipal agencies to activate their emergency plans and verify that our citizens have access to the necessary resources. In addition, he urged the community to remain vigilant and prepared, especially to let our elderly and disabled people know that we are always here to help them and ensure that they receive the necessary assistance,” Sotto Villanueva said.
