Libreville, Saturday, August 10, 2024 (Infos Gabon) – Proposing to the Gabonese government a strategy to support Gabonese SMEs was the significance of the interview held last Thursday, August 8 in Libreville with Seynabou Ly Mbacke, former Minister of Women’s Entrepreneurship, the Minister of Commerce of Senegal and Gabon, Perfecte Amouyeme Ollame in charge of income-generating activities at SME-SMI, married Divassa.
The Ministry of Commerce, who now serves as a consultant on microfinance issues, explained that Ms. Mbacke came to propose to the Gabonese government a strategy to support Gabonese SMEs, which would allow the government to develop support programs to promote their development.
Indeed, after serving as head of Senegal’s Ministry of Women’s Entrepreneurship, in charge of microfinance, the former member of President Macky Sall’s government said he could support Gabon’s SME development policy.
She intends to follow the example of Senegalese women, who today occupy important positions in entrepreneurship and even politics, because she was prepared. She hopes to pass on the basics to Gabon through her studies.
This idea can only be supported by members of the Gabonese government, given that some Gabonese women have already formed associations and cooperatives. The latter now need financial education, said Perfecte Amouyeme Ollame. Therefore, the partnership proposed by the Senegalese side is very important.
