Gardner called Paul’s comments “…pure evil”
PARIS: Olympian Steven Gardner has harshly criticised former gold medallist Pauline Davis, who became emotional and critical following the news of injuries to Shauna Miller-Uber and Steven Gardner.
Pauline Davis claims athletes failed to be open about their fitness ahead of the Paris Olympics.
But Gardner doesn’t think so. He wrote in an article online: “To Pauline Davis, please never talk about me because you were never an influential person to many of us athletes and you wanted to see us suffer and it was obvious. You were not there during my warmups but you were the first to speak out loudly about falsehoods, lies and propaganda, it was pure evil but you will be fine. I will be praying for you like everyone else.”
The Bahamian media is picking up on these exchanges and we think it is all downhill from here. Some Bahamians are cursing the BOC and BAAA for their poor performance at the Olympics this year. We know some are taking their friends, family and loved ones to Paris while trying to keep the athletes in the Bahamas. Many feel that the BOC and BAAA are out of touch with the local talent both here and abroad!
