Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, August 9. Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan plan to organize test activities before the full launch of the CASA-1000 energy project. trend Report.

The plan was agreed upon during a meeting between Kyrgyz Energy Minister Talaybek Ibrayev and Tajik Energy and Water Resources Minister Darel Juma in Astana, according to the Kyrgyz Energy Ministry.

The test includes inspections of overhead lines, transformers, substations, etc. between the two countries, and will be put into full operation after comprehensive testing and error correction.

The CASA-1000 project aims to connect the Central Asian energy system with South Asia and is expected to be completed by the end of 2024.

In Kyrgyzstan, the CASA-1000 project is progressing, which includes the construction of a 456 km, 500 kV overhead transmission line. Construction of the 500 kV Datka substation has been completed, all supporting structures have been installed, and 428 km of line has been laid. The project is expected to be completed by the end of August 2024.
