An internationally renowned chicken wing company is bringing their newest concept to Jersey City, with Buffalo Wild Wings set to open inside the Journal Square storefront later this year.
Buffalo Wild Wings, which has more than 1,300 locations worldwide, has erected temporary signage outside 2825 Kennedy Boulevard to announce its arrival. The site was previously home to a Taco Bell location. move As we reported earlier this week, head to the Journal Square Transportation Center.

Buffalo Wild Wings has yet to secure a liquor license for the property, and it appears that one will not be coming.The location being built on Kennedy Boulevard will fall under the company’s fairly new “Go” brand, which focuses on a delivery and pickup model rather than the full-blown sports bar concept they are best known for.
According to CNBC, Buffalo Wild Wings Opened Earlier this year, they opened their 100th “Go” location, a concept that has proven effective in the post-pandemic era after a number of such locations opened in New York City in recent years.
The Buffalo Wild Wings Go that will be coming to Journal Square will be smaller than a traditional sports bar but will still offer the company’s famous wings, burgers, sandwiches and wraps. An official opening date has not yet been announced, but the business listing on Google shows that they plan to open in September.
When it opens, the Jersey City Buffalo Wild Wings restaurant may surprisingly become the brand’s third location in all of Hudson County. There’s a full restaurant in Harmon Meadow Plaza and a “Go” version in Kearny.
Buffalo Wild Wings “On the Go” has begun to expand in New Jersey, opening new locations in Saddle Brook, Wanaque and Barnegat earlier this year. Another location is scheduled to open in Fair Lawn in the coming weeks.
