Koror, Palau — Human resource professionals from Palau’s private, public, and semi-autonomous sectors have formally launched the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) — Palau Chapter. The organization aims to provide a platform for HR professionals to network, share knowledge, and promote professional development, collaboration, and advocacy in the field of HR in Palau.
The chapter is dedicated to advancing the professionalization of Palau’s human resources, promoting best practices in human resources management, and contributing to the overall development of Palau’s workforce.
Leaders of the newly formed chapter include President Marleen Ngirametuker from Surangel & Sons Company, Vice President Motol Brell from Palau Pacific Resort and Secretary and Treasurer Lianne Edeyaoch from Palau Central Hotel.
“We are pleased to formally launch the Society for Human Resource Management – Palau Chapter,” said Ngirametuker. “This organization represents a major step forward for HR professionals in Palau, and we look forward to working together to elevate the HR profession, create a better workplace, and strengthen our workforce.”
Ngirametuker also extended an invitation to HR professionals who were unable to attend the launch event, whether current, former or future HR professionals.
