Fresh from the oven Thursday won the gold medal in the women’s four-person kayakDame Lisa Carrington and Dame Alicia Hosking returned to action on Friday evening in the women’s 500m canoe pairs event.
They won their semi-final to cross the finish line ahead of Germany and the Netherlands and will now compete in the final at 11.10pm for New Zealand’s first chance to medal on Friday night.
The men’s K2 team, comprising Kurtis Imrie and Hamish Legassi, finished seventh in the semi-finals and missed out on a medal.
Meanwhile, Lydia Ko returned to the Paris National Golf Club for the third day of the women’s individual golf tournament. Thursday surged up the leaderboard and into medal contention.
Just after 4am, cyclists Bryony Botha and Emily Shearman returned to the velodrome for the women’s Madison final.
They have already Winning silver in the women’s team pursuit in Paris And hopefully increase their gains.
