Senegalese Football Federation (FSF) President pays final tribute To the late Issa Hayatou, who died on Thursday at the age of 78.
The death of former CAF President Issa Hayatou has not left the football world indifferent. Mr. Hayatou was the patron of African football for 29 years and made a huge contribution to the development of football on the continent. He was therefore paid tribute by African football leaders, including CAF First Vice President and Confederation President Augustin Senghor.
“President Issa Hayatou is no more! What a figure! What a charm! What a strong character! What Imagine! What a leader! Of course, he was born to lead and led African football with mastery and passion, for which he gave everything until the very end. May his soul rest in peace” he wrote on Twitter.
