Papeete, 6 June 2024 The Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games Organising Committee has launched free tickets to access the Fan Zone at Teahupo’o PK0 Beach.

To win a ticket you need to register for one of the 10 online draws on the Jeux Surf Tahiti Facebook page, which will take place between June 17 and July 18, 2024. That is, there will be 10 draws during the 10 days of Fan Open. The announcement of the winners and the sending of the tickets will take place the following day, which is Tuesday and Friday.

From July 27 to August 5, 2024, PK0 Beach will host one of Tahiti’s three Fan Zones during the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games. Given the unpredictability of the weather, the Teahupo’o Fan Zone will be open every day from 6:30 am to 5:00 pm with animations (whether or not testing is taking place).

It will feature a giant screen so you can watch live or replayed surfing events (also Olympic events), entertaining emcees and technical management, partner stands, sports and cultural events, charter shuttles to the water (by drawings), an official shop, artisan delicacies and a refreshment bar.

Due to its location, PK0 Beach has limited capacity. For everyone’s safety and to ensure a quality spectator experience, the expected spectator number (600 people) is in line with the total capacity of the venue.

To enter the site with your ticket on the designated date, you will need to go to the free parking lot in the Taravao Faratea Industrial Estate (GPS coordinates). From there, a free shuttle will take you to Teahupo’o, where you will enter the PK0 Fan Zone.

No vehicles will be allowed in the area around the venue. A filtering point will be set up by the Upper Gendarmerie. Street parking will also be prohibited. The only parking space will be the free parking lot in the Taravao Faratea Industrial Area, which is of a suitable size for this event.

For the surfing events, the tickets are distributed as follows: 75% are dedicated to French Polynesia, for the general public, sports federations and municipalities marked “Terre des Jeux 2024”, city contracts, the DGEE educational program “Generation 2024”, Tahiti Tourisme, local partners…

25% is part of the contractual obligations for the 2024 Paris Olympics and goes to the International Surfing Association (ISA) and the athletes’ “Friends and Family” program.

Once at PK0 Beach, in order to make the sports experience as complete as possible, a boat rotation will be organized so that spectators can get on the water. At the entrance to the Fan Zone there will be a game where you can win a spot on board a boat for a one-hour rotation.

COJO Paris 2024 invites all Polynesians to participate in the event, bringing the Olympic spirit to life in Fenua.

In addition to the Teahupo’o Fan Zone, the country will set up two other “Fan Zones”: Atimaono Fan Zone in Papara (9am to 5pm from July 26 to 30, 2024) and Paofai Fan Zone in Papara. Papeete – July 31 to August 4, 2024 – 9am to 5pm, except late night on Friday, August 2, until 9pm

Both fan zones will also feature giant screens and be hosted by the Tu’aro Nui unit.
