On Tuesday, August 6, the Minister of Public Works, Engineer Raphael Hosty, accompanied by three members of the Cabinet and the director of the National Civil Aviation Authority (OFNAC), Laurent Joseph Dumas, visited the construction site of the new control tower and radar station at Toussaint Louverture International Airport.

During this visit, the progress of Haiti’s civil aviation modernization project was summarized.

The project, funded by the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) and the Haitian government with a budget of US$20 million, includes a secondary radar and two automatic surveillance stations to better manage and control air traffic.

It should be noted that the new air traffic control radar is already in use and has been successfully tested.
