Libreville, Thursday, August 8, 2024 (Infos Gabon) – This is what we can learn from a press release from the Permanent Secretary of the Secretariat for the Positioning of Schools, Universities and Professions (SOSUP).
The SOSUP Permanent Secretary announced on Tuesday that high school graduates and the public have been informed of the issuance of university orientation certificates at the CES Public du Center, located on the 9th floor of the 3rd arrondissement of Libreville, from August 6, 2024. Jérémie Mikombo, because he is the person who he is, made it clear that those interested will be received in batches and that priority will be given to one category of students.
“Learners who wish to study abroad in Gabonese public institutions and the following universities and public institutions are expected to participate in the first phase of distribution: National Higher School of Agronomy and Biotechnology; Masuku Polytechnic; Higher Technical School and Mba National High School Preparatory Class (Advanced Mathematics) in Leon,” he said.
According to him, the issuance of the above certificates will be carried out gradually, depending on the progress of processing the dossiers of learners. The latter, in order to be able to benefit from foreign orientation, need to justify the acquisition of a bachelor’s degree from the first cycle, with an average score greater than or equal to 12/20 in the scientific, technical and professional series, or an average score of 13/20 for all other series.
The Minister of Higher Education recently announced the career direction of most high school graduates in Gabon, both in primary and secondary schools and universities, at a press conference hosted in Libreville. For Professor Hervé Ndoume Essingone, it is enough to obtain a bachelor’s degree with an average of 10/20, after taking the steps beforehand and receiving guidance from SOSUP.
Remember that the Secretariat of Orientation for Schools, Universities and Majors organized a post-baccalaureate orientation event across the country from 8 to 15 July.
