On Monday, Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammad Hijau al-Sudani launched the application of the modern hospital joint operation and management program at the Najaf Teaching Hospital, which is the first application launched in Iraq in cooperation with a well-known international company specializing in the management of health institutions and hospitals, which will help reduce the need for Iraqi citizens to travel outside Iraq for treatment, thus saving a lot of money in this area.

According to a statement from his media office (a copy of which was obtained by Al-Khaleej), “the background of the work of the program and its implementation in hospitals, as well as the cases treated for citizens, is within the system of operation and management with the participation of a specialized Italian company (San Donato),” said Sultani, noting that “the participating companies were subject to layers of scrutiny and review, thus forming an elite group of these companies, among which there is an outstanding group, San Donato Italy. ”

Sudani expressed appreciation for the efforts of the Ministry of Health, saying that the level of materials and equipment has made a qualitative leap compared with previous years.

He stressed that “the joint management system will adopt a participatory approach in six provinces. These cities are Najaf, Basra, Missan, Dhi Qar, Karbala and Babylon. It has a new vision and will help Iraqi medical, health and technical teams improve their professional level in various treatment areas. It will also help provide better treatment services in various professional fields.”

He continued: “Today, we are implementing the goals set in the government plan to improve the level of health and medical services and care provided to citizens. We have adopted a new approach to obtaining the best health care services and care through joint management and operation with international companies that specialize in management and provide outstanding staff. We have also started the rapid rehabilitation project of hospitals in Baghdad and the governorates, and it is still ongoing. We are also continuing to complete the lagging hospital and health center projects in Baghdad and the governorates, which we started to complete through specialized committees, and we have started to build 16 new hospitals at the district level with a capacity of 100 beds, which will soon be transferred to professional companies that have been audited and certified.
