(CNS): Police say they have arrested a 76-year-old man on suspicion of murder in the death of Eva Glee Ebanks, who died on Oct. 16, 1997, in southern Cayman Brac. Ebanks was 35 years old at the time of her death. CNS has learned the suspect is Eddylee Martin, a well-known Cayman Brac businessman who turned 76 on Wednesday. He has been released on conditional bail as investigations continue.

His arrest follows a reopening of an investigation by the Royal Canadian Criminal Inquiry’s Major Case Review Unit within the past three years.

According to the RCIPS, the arrests were made after the RCIPS Major Crimes Review Team reopened its investigation into the cold case over the past three years.
